What is the difference between a private driver and a taxi or Uber?

A private driver stays with you. The vehicle waits while you are in the meeting, the clinic or the restaurant, so you never stand on a sidewalk in a city you do not know looking for a car. The driver is the same person all day, speaks basic English or works with your host, knows the routes out of the valley, and is insured under a licensed agency. Taxis and apps are fine for a single hop; a driver is for days with several stops, late nights, or trips outside the city.

How do you charge for a private driver?

By the hour inside the metro area, with a minimum block, or as a day rate for trips to Guatapé, Santa Fe de Antioquia, Jardín or the coffee farms. Vehicles range from an SUV for up to 3 passengers to vans for 7 and 15, and buses for larger groups. Send us your dates, the itinerary you have in mind and how many people are traveling, and the proposal arrives within 24 hours with the vehicle, the hours and the total. Fuel, tolls and the driver's time are in the price; parking at malls and attractions is added at cost.

What can I use a driver for?

Yes. Every vehicle operates under Medellín Group, a Colombian travel agency with National Tourism Registry 169523, with passenger insurance on every trip. Drivers are the same people who run our airport transfers; you receive the driver's name, photo and plate the day before.
